Check in is from 3:00pm - 6:00pm, check out by 11:00am.

Breakfast is served from 9:00am until 11:30am in the Bistro. If you plan to have breakfast after 11:00am, please make sure you have checked out of your lodge before 11:00am.

If dinner is included, it will be from our seasonal 'fest' menu (unless otherwise stated) it includes two course dinner and is available between 4:00pm - 6:30pm. Menus can be found here.

We offer you a 10% discount during your stay on treatments in our Spa. Please call to book a treatment and ask for our day spa price list or email us at info@whinstoneview.com 

Booking terms & conditions

  1. Bookings can be made over the telephone, in person or using our online booking system.

  2. Whinstone View accept all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa and American express. 

  3. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required at time of booking 

  4. On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid credit card for Whinstone View bistro and lodges to take pre-authorisation of £100.00. 

  5. If you are settling your account in cash or with a debit card, you are required to pay your balance on check in, any bistro or spa services which you may incur during your stay are not chargeable to your lodge and should be paid for separately . 

  6. If you are paying by debit card or cash, Whinstone View reserve the right to request a damage deposit of £100 payable on arrival, (either by debit card or cash) this is refunded at the end of your stay providing there is no damage caused. 

  7. A house keeping check will be carried out prior to lodge departure. 

  8. Unreported accidentals/damage to the property/missing items, smoking in the lodge or smoking outside the lodge with door or windows left open is not allowed. If this ban is ignored a deep cleaning charge of £75 will be incurred which is required to omit the smell of stale tobacco. If the next occupant refuses to accept the lodge, you will be liable for the cost of their alternative accommodation and Whinstone View Lodges & Bistro reserves the right to charge to the card guaranteeing the booking without prior permission from the card holder. 

  9. We operate zero tolerance of loud or abusive behaviour and you and/or members of your party will be asked to leave immediately if your conduct is considered, by us, to infringe our rules or is likely, in our belief, to impair the enjoyment or comfort or safety of other guests and/or staff. No refunds will be given in these circumstances. 

  10. We have the right to recover, from you, the cost resulting from any damage to our property or that of our other guests, together with any compensation we may pay to other guests as a result of the actions of you or any members of your authorised or unauthorised party.

  11. You must use your lodge and its contents with care. Please look after your lodge and Whinstone View facilities so that they may be enjoyed by all. Please report any accidental damage to reception immediately, so that we can make a repair or replacement. 

  12. Whinstone View reserve the right to enter a lodge without prior permission of its occupants, if we feel there has been a breach of the terms and conditions. 

  13. You must read and take note of the hot tub health and safety instructions and advice situated next to the hot tub. Please note: dark coloured swim wear may bleach and Whinstone View will not be held responsible. 

  14. Only hot tub products which we supply may be used in the hot tub as clients own items can damage the filter. 

  15. Please ensure you only touch the jets & lights button on the hot tub as touching any other buttons may result in you turning the temperature off and it will not reheat during your stay. 

  16. Please remove any jewellery or watches prior to entering the hot tub. Whinstone View will not be held responsible for any damage caused to items if this request is ignored, dark colours may result in bleaching of swimwear. 

  17. The lodge heating is set to a specific temperature, if you feel it is too cold or too hot in the lodge we ask that you only touch the 'plus' or 'minus' buttons on the control panel to alter the temperature. Touching any other buttons may result in the heating and hot water system not working correctly. 

  18. Prolonged exposure to bromine may cause skin irritation, we recommend 30 minutes usage at a time. 

  19. If you have any SKIN OR MEDICAL conditions please consult your doctor before arrival. 

  20. Check in is from 3pm, check out by 11am. 

  21. Late checkout taken without prior permission will be charged at £25 per 15mins. 

  22. Please note that we do not operate a 24 hour check in policy. 

  23. Check in is between 3pm and 6pm. If you require a later check in, please advise reception at the latest by 2pm on the day of your reservation of your estimated arrival time. 

  24. The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to any party that does not comply with the terms and conditions. 

  25. Young, single sex or young mixed parties under the age of 18 years will not be accepted. 

  26. Groups, hen nights or birthday event guests will only be accepted with a minimum occupancy of fourteen maximum sixteen guests, prior approval from Whinstone View management before a booking is accepted and full balance will be required one month before arrival with a security deposit payable on check in. 

  27. We are unable to accept liability if we are prevented from supplying a service to you due to a Force Majeure; an event which we cannot avoid, such as act of God, civil commotion, riot, war, explosion, accident, flooding, hurricane, snow, unusually low or high temperatures, earthquake, terrorism and any similar events which are outside of our control. 

  28. Whinstone View reserves the right to refuse to hand over accommodation to any person/s, which, in our opinion, is/are not suitable to take charge. Any refund will be at the discretion of the Management of Whinstone view 

  29. Complaints - Any complaint you have with any aspect of your stay should be notified to us as soon as possible before the end of your stay, so that we can resolve the problem. We may not be able to consider any request for refund/compensation if we have not been made aware of your complaint at the time and noted your comments. Please contact Reception and we will do our utmost to help you enjoy your stay.

  30. All self-catering lodges will be provided with a bath robe and two bath towels per person any additional towels will be provided at a small charge. 

  31. Whinstone View is not responsible for any left personal property customers are responsible for own possessions.

  32. There needs to be at least one adult aged 18 years + staying in a lodge.

  33. There needs to be at least two adults aged 18+ staying in Frida or the Blue lodge.

Payment Policy


A 50% non refundable deposit is required at time of booking. The balance can be paid on arrival. 
We will require a credit card for PRE-AUTHORISATION of £100 on arrival, this is to cover any meals or damage to the lodges and lodge hampers. 
We will release the funds on check-out. Please note that this can take up to 3 - 7 working days to appear back in to your account. 
We accept all major credit cards.

Cancellation Policy

We ask that all guests wishing to make a cancellation, to do so by telephone followed by written confirmation either by letter or email to reservations@whinstoneview.com 
Please note: 
If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of checking in, the full outstanding balance will be charged to the card left at time of booking. If more than 24 hours notice is given, only the deposit paid will be retained. For 'no shows' the outstanding balance will be charged to the card details given at time of booking. 

If any of the below circumstances cause a guest to cancel less than 24 hours or no-show and they can be proved by documentary proof within 14 days of the reservation date the deposit only will be retained.

  1. Death, (injury or illness causing hospitalisation) of any persons or of any close relative of such person booked. A doctor’s letter or certificate is required. 

  2. Compulsory UNEMPLOYMENT (REDUNDANCY) occurring after the date of confirmation of booking. Letter from employer serving notice of employment is required 

  3. Called upon to do JURY SERVICE. Court letter with dates of Jury service is required.
