What a day the sun was shining and the weather was sweet. It had to be one of the hottest days of the year, the heat matched our excitement but the fun didn't start then!
Me, my husband and the bridal team had been allowed earlier access to Wray's Barn the day previously due to the amount of dressing and decorating I had planned- this really helped settle my nerves as a bride and allowed me to fully enjoy the experience. Myself and my bridesmaids stayed over that night, we enjoyed a meal in the bistro with my mum and mother-in-law which was a lovely touch and then retired to our lodge to enjoy the bubbles in and out of the hot tub. I highly recommend staying the night before as the whole experience is extended - the day itself does indeed fly over so fast. The day and night before was a perfect addition to the overall Whinstone Wedding experience and also helps you feel totally organised and at ease knowing your all set up & ready and that your wedding day is simply a sleep away.

The day arrived and was a whirlwind of laughter, (happy) tears and a whole lot of love. A fabulous morning of getting ready, prosecco flowing and the lovely Dawn can across and took our breakfast orders and to see if we needed anything else on the morning. As the morning went by the professionals began to arrive photographers and videographers, flowers, the cake and the staff managed them all effortlessly. Dawn and Mandy and some of the lovely staff even came over for my big dress reveal which was a lovely touch and made me feel very special.
We decided to use both trestle and round tables, which were both highly decorated with blossom trees, gin bottles, candles, mini moon gates and much more but nothing phased the team and they were all moved later to create the dance floor!
It's fair to say I had a vision for this wedding - as I imagine all brides do! We had free standing elements, lots of hanging elements, decorations in the Tipi, neon lights, dreamcatchers & candles - Every detail had been thought of and nothing was too much for the Whinstone Team. The team loved the decorative elements and so did I. I even remember overhearing some staff say on the day it was their favorite wedding and how much of a shame it was to dismantle it the next day - which really touched me as I know how busy and popular a venue Whinstone View is.
All the log cabins were full on that night, we had a few night caps with friends and them all got back together to share our first breakfast with family and friends as husband and wife. Every single staff member could not do enough for you, so friendly and completely put you at ease.
The day ran completely and utterly smoothly. No stress just a day of pure happiness which is exactly what we aimed for and Dawn and the whole team at Whinstone very much helped achieve that. My only wish is that we could do it all over again! It really was the best day ever.
